Other Utah fun!

There is this awesome fun center by Haylee's house where there is a skating ring and bounce houses and lazer tag and food and other things that are great for kids of all ages. The skating is the best though because you can skate or use a scooter or stroller and so it's much more fun for the little ones. Even Grandma got to get out there and help with no skates. We were there for hours! The kids loved just playing and playing with their cousins. It was like being in a toy store because there are lots of toys and they are all new to you. You could often catch a Grandparent or parent on the floor playing too. Bode pointed to that apple and said, very clearly, "Apple." I'm jelous, Kasen doesn't say anything but mom and dad.
THe hot tub is always a huge hit with the kids. There were in there for like 2 hours. ( not the babies, in case you were worried). yes, that is a little snow on the ground you see in the background.

Terry and Ryan enjoyed the couch and laughing about nothing. Of course there was the big game they watched and of course BYU won, sorry Ry, we're just better than the U!

THey put up their Christmas tree before we came so we would get to see it for once. It's huge and fabulous. THe ornaments are as big as they look and much cooler. Next to the tree is this awesome Santa Bag that Haylee's friend made for her that is also very cool in it's brown velvet and accessories that match her tree. It was very fun to be on a real vacation (paid even) for the holidays.

Thanksgiving

Haylee so gratiously volunteered to make her first Thanksgiving dinner. We all helped of course, but it was FABULOUS and there was enough food and it was good enough that we ate it for the next three days for at least one meal. Thanks for having us!! The kids set the huge table with her new dishes and they did a pretty good job.
It was so great to all be able to sit at the same table and still have room for all the great food.
Arent' we a good looking bunch! We did miss having Paij, Jarom, Tena, and Trevor and their families with us. But we love cell phones that keep us all in touch! We hope you are all as blessed as we are!

Terry B-day

Terry is getting old! Not that anyone didn't know that already, but it's true. We had some friends over for Pumpkin Cake before we left for Utah. I'm lovin' his B-day because we got date stuff, money for dinner and movie tickets!
Kasen thinks candles are the greatest thing ever. He was so cute just seeing them and then trying to help blow out. When we went to Utah he was thrilled to receive the Coco Motion (a coffee maker for hot chocolate drinkers). We've already used it a few times and love it! Thanks Davis'.

Cypress' B-day party (yes it was in Sept.)

Cypress Turned the big 8. She had lots of friends over for a Mad Scientist party. We helped them do about 5 different experiements each. They had lab coats and safety goggles and everything. A great time was had by all. She had an exploding beaker for a cake and it only lasted us about 2 weeks because it was so big. Our family rule is that when the girls turn 8 they can get their ears pireced so right on the day of her Birthday we went to Clairs and got it done. Tayla was so scared she wouldn't even go with us. Cypress was very brave though and didn't cry or anything.

Halloween

Tyden's Preschool class went Trick or Treating at the businesses downtown. They were darling. He's in the front left as Bumble Bee the Transformer.

Cypress, Kasen and Cooper looking at our dry Ice rootbeer at our annual carving party.
All of the beautiful creations from carving. Everyone had a great time.
We ended the day with trunk or treat at the church and then to a party of some of our friends. Cypress was Ms. USA, Tayla was a USA Cheerleader, Kasen was Whinny the Pooh dressed up as a Bumble Bee, and Tyden was Bumble bee the transformer.

Tyden turns 4

Who can help but have fun when dressing up is involved!!
Jonathan was the winner of this game! He knows how to trow a pumpkin!
Julia (who doesn't like her face wet) and Tyden (who doesn't like apples). All loved the challange of the bob. He had a Halloween Birthday Party. We bobbed for apples, played "hot pumpkin," TP mummy relays, and mask making. He had a few friends and lots of family there and had a great time as Batman. His spider cake was well liked except for the black licorish legs (all the kids said they wanted it but when they tasted it they quickly changed their minds:)).

Cypress is Baptized!

Cypress was Baptized on Oct 10, 2009. She was very excited and very beautiful. Everything went well. All the Hills were present and the local Hunters and the Davis' as well as friends. It was a very exciting day. She also got her own scriptures with her name on them and that was pretty exciting. She is a great example to her brothers and sister and is an amazing part of our family. We sure love her! Thanks to everyone for your help and support and for giving talks and prayers and playing the piano at the baptism.

School Pics

We're skipping a lot of time here but I'll go back. We decided that school pictures were too expensive so I took them myself. We had a photo shoot and a lot of fun and they are way better than school ones if you ask me! :)

Hair cut time!!

Kasen turned one so I thought it was time for a hair cut. Dad wanted his cut so since it was all out, I went for it. Notice how it grown in a mowhak and is very shaggy around his ears. This is before! He had to be stripped for quick bath entry after and then I tried to hold him while I did it but that was rather unsuccessful so after dad got a picture or two, he held him for the duration.
All in all, he held pretty still and was pretty happy through it all. My two men in their new dues. Dumb mom didn't remember to keep any of the hair for the scrapbook though, not that there was much there anyway but it sure made a big difference.
He looks so old without the wispy baby hair. I'm kind of going to miss the mowhak and everyone calling him a cupie doll.

Our friend Julia Turned 5

We were invited to join Queen Julia at Olivia's Doll House Tea Room in Carmichael and it was the dream of every little girl! This was the sign outside and all of the kids from the party.
Above is momma April dancing with darling little sister Alyssa. The owners put on makeup and did the hair of all the girls after they picked out the dress and shoes of their choice. Tyden had about 5 suit coats and ties to choose from as well as a few hats and shoes. Below is Tayla in the makeup area.

Cypress with dress choice number one but not the final choice.
Tyden got a little silly while he was waiting for all the girls to get ready.

After they were all ready they put on a fashion show for the parents while they were introduced and their outfit choices explained.

Then they all posed on the stool for pictures that were quickly printed and sent home with you.

Queen Julia on her thrown calling her servent with a bell (this was a little over abused because it was way to fun to ring).

Cypress and Tyden eating their lovely lunch of PB&J, mini cheese pizza, hot dogs on a tooth pick, and the highlight - Juice in your own teapot.
A fabulous time was had by all! Thanks April and Jed!!
